Cookworthy Knapp, Nearly There Trees / Nearly Home Trees - Cornwall original lino print
Anyone travelling down to Cornwall is likely to recognise these trees! This original linocut is a lovely & unique artwork for any Cornish native or Cornwall lover.
'Nearly There' is an original linocut of Cookworthy Knapp, better known as the 'Nearly There Trees' or the 'Nearly Home Trees'. An iconic copse of trees just off the A30 near the Devon/Cornwall border - so called because sighting these trees means you're 'nearly there'!
Image size approximately 21 x 16cm. Printed using Cranfield Paynes grey ink, on off-white Kent printmaking paper.
This is my original design, hand-drawn onto a lino block which is then carved ready for printing. The plate is then inked up and each print is hand-pulled.
Due to the nature of the crafting & printing process, each print will be slightly different, with small variations in tone and colour.
Unframed / umounted - each print will be shipped flat (not rolled), carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue paper with a backboard (no plastic).
